The puppies are all doing well and continue to grow and develop at an alarming rate.
It was an extraordinarily busy weekend at Desiree Acres. Weaning is a time consuming and emotional process -a lot of extra preparation and clean up for us, a very difficult transition for Zinger and a fun and messy time for the puppies!
Just as we were beginning to get into the swing of things I was activated with my Equine Team to assist in the Sylmar fire (luckily, I was able to do my part from the house). The activation took most of Saturday and we were on call for Sunday. You have, I'm sure, all seen the devastation on TV. A very sad time for So. California. We assisted in evacuating 116 horses, and to my knowledge no horses were harmed in this fire.
I started back at work today, so as you can guess it has been pretty much non-stop since last week. I have managed to take some photos and movies and will try to download them asap. In the meantime here are a few photos to give you all a dose of "puppy therapy".
